Turn your handwriting into a font

Hi guys!

So as I promised on Instagram, here is the tutorial on how to turn your handwriting into a font! It’s completely free, and only requires a black pen, and a printer. And its super easy 😉

STEP 1

Go to calligraphr.com. Here, you can either create an account, or you can go for the “Quicktest” option. I created an account (its free) but that’s totally up to you.

STEP 2

Click on “Create a Template” and select “Minimal English”. Then you can download the template as either a PDF or PNG.

STEP 3

Print out your template and fill it in! I filled it out with 0.8 fineliner, but any black pen will work as long as its not too thin. It took me a couple tries before I was happy.

STEP 4

Once you’ve finished, scan and upload your filled out template. If you don’t have a scanner, the CamScanner app is really great. (Its also free)

STEP 5

Go to “MyFonts” and “Upload Template”. There, you can see how your font looks. If you’re happy with it, click on “Build Font” and name it!

STEP 6

Download and install your font! Here’s how mine turned out 🙂

And thats it! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and if you try it out, I’d love to see how it turned out!
